Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.
The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Unique arms
- Survey Corps vehicle
Latest Free Story Update
This release also introduces the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature abilities: Naoe reveals a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.

The series previously featured a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
